My first Replacement Item of 2018 - black dress pants
When you work in an office environment, there’s really no getting around the need for a pair of black dress pants.
The pair I replaced has served me well for a good 4 years - they were from the GAP and I’m honestly surprised how well they have held up despite being repeatedly worn and laundered. Their cost per wear came in at $0.56! I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a basic pair of no-fuss, dress pants, on a budget. I recall buying mine with a promotion of 20% off, regular price, making it an even better purchase.
I didn’t buy the same pair again because I was looking for something with a slight sheen/glossier finish - I ended up with Banana Republic’s Sloan pant that has crazy amount of stretch (which is comfy if you’re stuck in front of a computer all day). I had to go up 2 sizes with these pants but despite the size, well worth it because they look and feel great!
As this is a Replacement Item, it doesn’t count towards my allowable 5, but I am keeping count of what I’m spending to make sure that I’m not exceeding my budget of $1,000, same as last year.
