Battling my Monday blues
I know a few posts ago I said that planning my outfits in advance doesn't work for me, but I don't think I consider what I'm about to say, planning.
Planning to me requires thought and reasoning. What I'm about to propose intends to minimize that.
I'm implementing a MONDAY UNIFORM.
Mondays are tough - I'm sad that the weekend is over and amped up for the work week to start. I barely make it out the door in time and I just don't want to spare more brainpower than I need to, to get myself functional and out the door. With that in mind, I'm going to wear the same thing, every Monday, unless I have a killer outfit that pops into my head and takes me the same amount of time to put together as my Monday uniform.
Just like growing up in a school uniform, there is winter and summer uniform, with just variations of tops, sock colors, and cover ups.
For this grown up version, I'm doing black tuxedo drape pants (because elastic pants seem to be perfect for horrible Mondays), and a sleeveless black top. This is my base.
For spring and summer, I may pair them with sandals or peep-toe flats, and a light cardigan for color and warmth, if necessary.
For fall and winter, I'm going with black flats, and a heavier cardigan or blanket scarf.
DONE. I'm ready for Mondays. *mic drop*
