Living without a wardrobe ‘must-have’
I returned my dark blue jeans over the weekend - I’ve been wearing my gray jeans since I got them and I’m not convinced I bought the right size. And with the holidys coming up, and new year resolutions to be fulfilled soon, I figured I can wait and see to better determine what size actually fits me better.
The black high-rise versions I have fit like a dream but the mid-rise cut I bought in the gray and dark blue seem to stretch quickly and then leaves me with too much material that bunches in the front and back - not attractive. On the other hand, buying the same size as my black pair seem more snug around the waist than I would like.
I think holding off in this case is a good idea. It also lets me play a little game to see if I really ‘need’ a pair of dark blue jeans. I know it’s supposed to be one of those items that are a wardrobe ‘must-have’, but I’m going to push my luck. I have a pair of dark denim that are cut above the ankle and I love wearing them so I think combined with my black skinny jeans, I may actually survive without.
On that note, it means I spent less this year on my wardrobe :) I actually spent $2,152.81.
