Getting back to basics
I have FINALLY found the perfect basic Ts for me. I searched high and low for t-shirts that were long enough to be tucked in, NOT too sheer or thin (and this criteria was what really set me back), comfortable, and wasn't TOO body-hugging.
Banana Republic's 'Malibu' T is where it's at. I discovered them over the long weekend and replaced a bunch of my old basics.
In fear that they would be discontinued, I went back this weekend and stocked up. I ended up with 10 of them for approximately $6 each since I had a $75 StyleCash and I received an additional 10% off. I think they actually made a mistake by giving me 10% off, but hey, SCORE FOR ME!
Now I have:
- 1 white, black, and gray long-sleeved T (3)
- 3 white v-neck Ts
- 2 black v-neck Ts
- 2 navy scoop neck T
- 3 shimmer scoop neck Ts - dark gray, light gray, and peach
AND I also got lucky and found a white basic tank-top in the last second before the store closed.
I don't plan to count these towards my budget because they are basic pieces that needed replacing and I bought them as additional stock for when the ones that I DID count towards my budget and wardrobe numbers, need replacing.
