SOLD! - My MbMj Fran Q, and Kate Spade totes
WHOA! 2 bags sold in 1 weekend! Finding those other bags really gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to finally list some of my bags that I have been putting off for a while. Within 24 hours, I had secured sales for both. YAY! I still don't know if I will keep the 2 I found, but I definitely know that they work better for me than those I sold.
First up was my MbMj Fran Q in Blush -
When I bought this bag, I think I was caught up in the sale. I love the style of the bag itself but I'm more drawn to it in a darker color. I find I very much love MbMj leathers in dark, rich colors. I think I originally bought it because I was bored at the time and got caught up in the 'good deal'. I did use it when I bought it but I think the shade of pink is too girly for me, at least on a bag. Whenever I wore it, it felt more like an obligation than real joy. I held on to it for quite some time trying to convince myself I would miss it, but now that I've sold it, I feel relieved! Also, it clears up my closet a bit since it took up quite a bit of room with its puddly-ness. It's gone to a new home, to a young mother, who I think will take very good care of it =)
The second is my Kate Spade Wellesly tote that, if some of you will remember, I wasn't sure about until I used it again and ended up keeping it for another year+. I love this bag - the pitch black of it makes my heart sing, but after using it again, and then using another black bag, I realize that its super structured style isn't working for my life right now. It's great for the professional look and keeping documents safe, but for my lifestyle where I take transit, it can get cumbersome when it's packed with stuff since there's not much give. So sadly, I say good-bye. The girl who purchased it off me sent me a lovely text after to tell me she loved it, so it made me really happy knowing she will be appreciated and loved fully.
These are now items 3 and 4 towards reaching my goal to let go of 10 items from my bag and wallet collection. Motivated, I moved some of my bags in my stylebook app to a 'thinking of selling' folder so I can get a sense of whether I even search for them when thinking up outfits; I'm also rethinking my heavier bags as well. I've listed another bag and we'll see what happens. I am going to Korea next week so I may have to pick up my selling momentum after that. Stay tuned!
