We returned last week and headed straight to work so the weekend was finally a time for us to catch up on household errands, unpack, and digest our amazing trip!
I'll post later with our photos, but right now, I want to share what happened with my outfits. It was EXTREMELY HOT during our stay - high 20s, low 30s, and HUMID.
Here's what I originally packed:
Last second, I also threw in this dress:
These are the outfits I put together and where I wore them to. I didn't use any of my accessories since it was so hot.
Most of my outfits were pretty standard summer tourists looks, but in desperation and lack of time to go buy a new top, I went bold (bold by my standards) and wore my black crop top with shorts, resulting in an unexpected outfit to add to my list of favourites.
I normally wear this crop top with high-waist skirts so my tummy doesn't show, but to battle the heat, I wore it as it was meant to be. It didn't reveal much of my tummy, looked pretty trendy, and helped me in the heat - voila! New outfit to add to my arsenal.
I'm looking forward to packing for Korea now - I expect similar temperatures, if not hotter. Stylebook made it really easy - I put together my outfits first, then added them to my packing list, and had the app generate my list for me. Making the outfits first let me duplicate and modify my outfits so I was able to make sure that I was using my clothes in more than one outfit in order to minimize what I bring.
Perfecting how I travel is something I strive to do as well because not having everything, or the right thing, at your fingertips is certainly inconvenient and can dampen things. I also want to travel light but I tend to bring too many shoes, too many toiletries for the 'just in case moments', and my hair straightener (which after all this time, should know better since I've never used it once on a trip.
I guess I just have to travel more to get it right 😉
